back everyone I hope everyone has had a great half
term!!
After so much hard work last term the Students' Union
are proud to say we have been awarded the Gold Green Impact award
from the NUS. We wouldn't have been able to get the award without
all your help and support. So we would like to thank everyone for
using the recycle bins and using recycled
materials.
Last term the Students' Union introduced craft sessions
for students to take part in during their free periods or dinner
breaks. It has been a great success so far and students seem to be
really enjoying the sessions. Each week there is a different craft
session to get involved in such as card making, making your own
dream board, scrapbooking and many others. Each session takes part
in the Students' Union block based a Derby Road if you are
interested please feel free to come along for a
chat.
This term the Students' Union has lots to offer towards
building your CV, take part in the Big Tidy ups, events around the
college and trips and activities. Make sure you are keeping check
on our notice boards as they are regularly updated with different
information.
Help support my campaign towards Zero Tolerance - you
can collect your free badges from the Students' Union and follow
the Zero Tolerance rules. If anyone has any ideas of events we
could put in place based on the Zero Tolerance campaign please let
me know. Please fill in the Zero Tolerance pledges and the surveys
around college as I am putting them on a wall in the Students'
Union block.
For the people who still have not collected there NUS
card from the Students' Union please contact us on 01623 627191 ex
8608 so we can get your card send to your site reception as you are
missing out on massive savings! And for the people who have not
bought an NUS card buy one today! The card is only £12.00 and the
average student saves from £525.00 a year!
The rules around college are still the same which means
you must respect the college and wear your lanyard at all times as
it is for your safety.
