The Students' Union Executive Committee
Elections
As a member of the Students' Union Executive (SU Exec) Committee
you will be part of the team that is responsible for the work and
direction of the union on a day to day basis. The SU Exec is
the official voice of learners at the college.
The role of the SU Exec is to listen to and act on what other
learners want and work alongside the college on their behalf.
Members of the SU Exec work together to organise and run
campaigns and events. The SU Exec has organised a campaign around
keeping the college tidy and have been proactive in their approach
to lobbying our local politicians against the abolition of the
EMA.
Trips are organised from feedback and these have included a
Liverpool residential, trip to London, Top Gear and the
Playzone. Prices are kept at a minimum through sales of the
NUS Extra discount card.
The SU Exec also works alongside the wider support teams in
organizing and running events such as Fair Trade Fortnight,
Children In Need and Women's International Day to name but a
few.
There are a number of vacant positions on the Students' Union
Executive Committee this year. Some positions are paid and
some are voluntary. Whichever position you are interested in
we need positive, motivated, inspirational and hardworking learners
to help us move forward Vision West Notts Students' Union.
Being part of the SU Exec allows you to influence and shape your
education and it is a great way to gain valuable work experience,
inspire, improve your skills and have fun while making a real
impact on others.
